Purpose of the Exhibit

This exhibit is a comprehensive study that show as story line the development of fiscal stamps in Colombia between 1858 and 1904, as the first Latin American country to introduce revenue stamps. The exhibit includes archival documents, revenue stamps, varieties and a diverse range of uses, showing the evolution of them, till the thousand days war in 1902, as the most interesting period because of the political changes and the constant upraising civil wars.
